(1) MANIFESTO

'Gravosfera / / South by SouthWest' is an adventure cycling and bikepacking experience. It isn't a race and we will not promote any kind of competition spirit. The focus is the group experience, the discovery of new geographies and the sociocultural contact. Anyways, this adventure has some basic principles. Instead of rules, we prefer to see this minimalist list as a manifesto:

RESPECT THE TRAFFIC RULES, THE COMMUNITIES AND THE ENVIRONMENT

We are a community who wants to build a positive legacy. The way you behave will shape how society will look us/cyclists.

RIDE THE ROUTE, RIDE SAFE & ENJOY

You can see the route designer as an artist and the route as a piece of art. Trust in it and let yourself go. You can leave the route temporarily (for accommodation, water & food, WC, tourism, etc), but then return in the same exact point.

SELF-SUPPORTED, BUT A COLLECTIVE EXPERIENCE

This is an adventure-cycling and bikepacking journey and you are responsible for your own and logistics, such as food and accommodation. However, the riders are totally free to ride in group and to help and receive support from other participants.

I confirm that I have read the 'Manifesto' and I agree with the principles, namely respect the local traffic rules,. *
I am aware that 'South by SouthWest' is an event and that if I see it as a race/competition it is my own perspective/responsability. *
Concerning security, I will use/have all mandatory items: helmet, reflective vest (night and poor visibility conditions), frontal and rear lights, emergency blanket. *
I am aware that the organization will ensure personal insurance for accidents (expenses for treatment, repatriation, disability & death) during the weekend (9-10 Sept). I'm responsible for my own insurance if I take more than 2 days to ride the route *
I am aware that the insurance of the event doesn't cover any damage to my bicycle/equipment, as well as damages caused - by my responsibility - on third parties. *
